This was very bland. I added bacon and avocado on top as suggested but still bland.
While I'll agree that these ingredients are basic and bland, it doesn't have to be. Just use the recipe as a guideline and add in what you'd like. The Bisquick, milk and eggs are what's essential and use the rest more as a guide with quantity. In other words, you don't want to add too much or it might not hold together. I made one a few weeks ago that had sausage, sauteed spinach, mushrooms, onions, garlic and cheese and it was out of this world.
We used to make "impossible pies" years ago and then kind of lost it and recently rediscovered them. You can pretty much make whatever concoction you wish and it'll be great and they're super easy! This was a hit in my house, my 3 and 6 yr old gave m thumbs up praises, my friend even cam over for seconds the next day! Perfect for a girls night at home! Try it with Bisquick garlic cheddar biscuit mix!! I don't purchase Bisquick. Is there a way of making this without it? Remember you are on a Betty Crocker recipe site and Bisquick is made by Betty Crocker - just thinking they would probably like you to try their product.
I agree with Ohio10, but I'm thinking a quick google search should give you what you're looking for Very easy to make and the hubby loved it. I will definitely be making it again. The hubby loves broccoli, so I may try addition broccoli next time.

So I made it again, and added Amazing Burger seasoning and some worcestershire sauce. It was really good! I used to make this and had the same issue- like the meat just needed something-- I have added BBQ sauce, ketchup and worcestshire, just something to jazz it up. We ate it many times when my son was young. The Worcestershire sauce does help. I also added a couple teaspoons of French's mustard to give it a little kick. But, my wife says I'm strange I like food to bite back a little when I bite it. Serve with a crisp salad or broccoli salad and ice cream and sugar cookies for dessert.
Quick and good all the way around. I've made it a lot actually and it's very good. I love most of the recipes from Betty crocker. I make this all the time. It's one of our favorites I add a small can of chopped chilis and Bar B Q sauce.. I have made this dish for many years!! I sometimes add veggies, steak sauce or barbeque sauce!
Very good, liked by family, there replies were "Its a keepeer". I love this recipe but if you switch out the hamburger for maple sausage it's even better!!! Very simple to make and tasty.

Easy as Pie Pops: Small in Size and Huge on Flavor and Fun Andrea Smetona NEW
I definitely will make it again. Made this the other night exactly as the directions stated and everyone in my family loved it. Will make this again for sure. So simple to make. I served with a salad on the side. This has been a family favorite for more than 20 years, so I was delighted to see the variations on the theme.
I copied down three others, and I can't wait to try them. Do you know if I can use Aunt Jemima complete pancake mix instead? Always a favorite standby! The sky's the limit! I just made this for the first time and we all loved it! I will definately make again and add green chile next time! Overall, I would make this again. I would add pepper and try one less egg. When I'm having a hamburger pie, I don't want to taste egg. I may try adding olives as the lady below did. That sounds good.
Here’s what you’ll need to make the cake pops recipe:
I did make this yummy pie but I added some seasonings and pepper and increased the Bisquick and milk by half. Made this recipe yesterday and it was a big hit! I enjoyed it with a bit of b-b- que sauce and my son put mustard and ketchup sauce! Will make again.

I made this and it was so good. The husband loved it! He liked it so much that I had to make it again for our next day dinner. This recipe is so easy and affordable to make. I know now to make two pies at a time instead of just one.

I have been making this for 30 years. Put back in the oven just till the cheese is melted.
So good! I've made this several times, always good. I change it up every so often by adding some taco seasoning or BBQ Sauce or even drained rotel tomatoes to the ground beef. If there are any leftovers, they heat up nicely. I omitted the salt and onion for granulated onion. I also added one low sodium can of corn and a can of sliced olives. My family love it! It was gone the next morning! This was ok as a base, but not much flavor. I'll be trying some of the other Impossibly Easy Pies that seem to have more umph to them.
I have made this many times. I love this. I love making and serving this Cheesburger Pie. I noticed the Taco flavor pie recipe that I can make to change it up! Very easy to make. I like to sprinkle parsley on top before baking to add some color. I add a can of corn to the beef mixture. This was so easy to make. Husband loved it. I changed this just a little: to add flavor I added a good dollop of garlic. Then for texture a small can diced tomatoes.
For a complete meal, I added a can of no-salt chopped green beans. Then I thought a small can of tomatoe sauce would complete the dish, I was wrong. After baking, I added more cheese to the top and allowed it to melt. The original recipe looked good, but lacked imagination.
